We're living in one of the most divisive times in modern history and current memory. It's almost impossible to exist with any connection to the internet and social media without having that realization slap you in the face.

Every time I find myself staring down a comment box, ready to prove my point — I stop and ask myself, "Would it even make a difference in a day, month or year?"

Ultimately it doesn't. Arguing on social media or anywhere for that matter rarely does more than waste time and energy.
